Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Center is a glacial ski resort which lies at 1850 m.a.s.l. in Juvbreen at the foot of Galdhøpiggen in Oppland. The Ski Center is one of very few in Norway that are located on a glacier.
The ski lift is secured to the ice, which is in constant movement down towards Juvvatnet. The clear, green glacial water beautifully contrasts the surrounding permafrost landscape. Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Center, commonly called "Juvass," is the preferred training arena for many professional teams from all over the world, and for you and your friends to enjoy the combination of sun, skiing and fun during summer time.
The resort has a T-bar lift, with capacity of 1200 persons per hour, and one slope which is 1400 meters long with a 350 meter height difference. The ground is well suited to both alpine skiing and snowboarding. It is the highest located ski centre in Scandinavia. The season is usually from late May until October.
